Use GCredit for App Payments!

You must have the following:

1. A linked GCash account on Google or Apple Pay
2. A registered and active GCredit account

There are 2 ways to enable GCredit as backup for Google or Apple Pay purchases

1. During your GCash account linking process with Google / Apple Pay
   • Ensure that you have a registered GCredit account
   • Tick the box that would Enable GCredit as backup for Online Payments
   • Your GCredit is now enabled as backup for Google or Apple Pay purchases
2. Through Auto-Payment inside Manage Credit in the GCash app
   • Ensure that you have a linked GCash account on Google/Apple Pay and a registered GCredit account 
   • Go to Manage Credit
   • Tap ‘Auto-Payment’
   • Enable your GCredit as backup by tapping the toggle
   • A prompt will pop out, tap ‘Enable GCredit’
   • Your GCredit is now enabled as backup for Google or Apple Pay purchases!
   • A notification will be sent via in-app inbox to notify that you have successfully enabled GCredit as backup for Google/Apple Pay purchases.

• Enable your GCredit as backup for online payments by tapping ‘Manage Credit’ > ‘Auto-Payment’ in the GCash app
• Pay for an in-app purchase or app in Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
• If your GCash balance is insufficient to cover your purchase amount, then your GCredit will be used to successfully push through with your purchase.

The full amount will be charged to your GCredit account and interest charges may apply if GCredit is used as the payment method.

You may use your GCredit for Google and Apple Pay payments such as when you want to purchase apps, in-game currencies, or premium app versions. GCredit will be used as a backup payment option in case your GCash wallet balance is insufficient to cover your app payment!

No. The full amount will be charged to your GCredit account if in case your GCash wallet balance is insufficient to cover the total transaction amount.

You will be charged interest a day after your purchase date onwards. No interest will be charged if you purchased and repaid the borrowed amount on the same day. Interest fees for GCredit are pro-rated which means that you get to enjoy lower interest the earlier you pay!

Yes. You can always go to Auto-Payment inside Manage Credit in the GCash app to disable GCredit as backup for online purchases.

• Go to Manage Credit inside the GCash app
• Tap ‘Auto-Payment’ 
• Disable your GCredit as backup for online purchases by tapping the toggle

Yes, this is to ensure that you experience seamless online payments with Google or Apple Pay. You can always choose to enable or disable anytime depending on your preference through the Auto-payment page inside Manage Credit.

Please ensure that you have sufficient remaining GCredit limit to cover your purchase amount for your transactions to successfully push through.

If you have sufficient GCredit limit to cover your purchase amount but you are still experiencing unsuccessful transactions, this may be due to the following reasons:

• Your GCredit account is currently suspended for not paying your total amount due on or before your due date.
• Your GCredit account is currently expired for not meeting our credit eligibility requirements.
