House of Ohlala by Reen Barrera
Reen Barrera draws inspiration from his childhood when he repaired church statues and created toys from scrap materials. His art features handmade sculptures and paintings with vibrant colors, influenced by the streets. His signature characters, Ohlala and Duge, are a soft commentary on socio-economic classes, with Ohlala’s canvas-cloth-covered head symbolizing the power to design one’s own fate regardless of background.
